Thank you for your thoughtful words. The God question is definitely an individual perspective. I think we’ve gotten confused because it’s really a Goddess that created us all. And auto speak did not capitalize Goddess twice, I had to do it by hand. So even AI doesn’t realize that there’s a feminine aspect to creation. I just really feel our physical human minds have been so conditioned that it can’t think beyond into expanded concepts that would include the whole universe and its answers.
Yes! The idea that God has a gender is so ridiculous. If God is, God is Everything, I think. I quite like the Hindu concept of Brahma, the Supreme Divinity that is so beyond our comprehension that it cannot be approached. That is why they have lesser Gods like Ganesha and Lakshmi, whom people can worship and ask things from.
I’m enjoying learning more about Hinduism. My partner was inspired by Muktananda in the 80’s and has opened that ancient perspective into my life. The magnificence of life keeps us questioning. I love your writings.
God is a controversial topic of discussion everywhere it seems. That dad got offended because of a song, if I say I get offended when i see people almost naked on the street, they say about me I'm not inclusive or small minded, right ?
Anyways, don't sweat about it. We are living in a crazy world and it'll get worse: it'll be wither an extreme or the other, not so much middle
If there was a god it would be female as no male can give birth. (except a few strange species). Oh, and how did god come to Be? “It just is”. And so it is with the universe. The physicist Richard Feynman has some excellent posts located in the Reels section at the bottom of Facebook. Thanks for writing your post, it deals well with many of the questions perplexing humanity.
Yes! Where DID God come from???? Are we all just hallucinating all this - is everything just a collective dream...We will never get answers to these questions, but what we can do is to believe in anything that makes our path here on earth easier and inspires us to love each other and the planet more, right?
I love your columns. They are warm, thought-provoking, wise, and vulnerable. I hope you will let us know when one of your books is published in English.
Kati this really made me think. It’s unfortunate you can’t talk about God in your country.
This 👇 resonates.
I still don’t know what I think about God. In my book, I concluded that I don’t necessarily believe in God, but that I have a God experience.
I’ve had a series of incidents in my life where the outcomes should have been a lot worse. Which to me would speak to having a god experience ;as in someone is looking out for me). But then sometimes I look at the weight others have to carry and wonder, if there’s a god why are their crosses heavier to bear than others. I think open conversations about this is what we need. There is so much to drill down on, I’d love to have that conversation.
