Oh yes! Women friends are essential. Thank you for expressing this so beautifully. And only at age 69 have I found a compatible male friend. We live together he sees me at my worst and my best. And there’s no holiday fuss because he doesn’t care for holidays.

So well put, so well said, so simple and honest. Good for you for finding that which works, what didn't work and who you are and can be! Thank you.

Dear Kati, I loved every bit of this. I resonate completely. I am still a mom at 67 as I have young women at home with disabilities. I have a few chest friendships that I don’t spend enough time valuing and honoring and appreciating.

This came at a time when I’ve been thinking about this theme deeply and often. It’s not too late thank you.

I am very happy for you and the friends that you’ve been able to tend and keep for so long.

With love

P

It´s not too late for almost anything! I don´t have to take care of my kids anymore, but I have two grandkids who need me (or their mom does). It can be hard to find time for oneself, but even recognising the value of me-time and remembering the value of friendships is a step in the right direction <3
